About Kanagasabai 

Kanagasabai - School of Bharatanatyam in Mylapore, Chennai was found in the year 2002. The school is well established and quality is the word that resonates in every aspect of Kanagasabai. With a strong foundation from leading proponents of the Thanjai style of Bharatanatyam - she continues her journey in mastering the dance form and all its supporting facets relentlessly and tastefully.

Through Kanagasabai, Sasirekha Raammohan trains young dancers for solo performances, group shows, thematic presentations, variety programs and dance drams. Her style is anchored to the classical form of the dance, yet the concepts presented by Kanagasabai are inimitable and never fail to evoke an emotional connect with the audience. The training she imparts not only fulfils the rigorous demands of a classical dance form but also offers confidence, understanding, passion, empathy and discipline in the young dancers. Kanagasabai respects all performance spaces and is devoted to Bharatanatyam. Since 2002 she has let the Kanagasabai artists in numerable performances at both private and public stages as well as in temples.
